Michael Wheeler is vice president of the Global IP Network Business Unit and brings more than 15 years of sales management and operational experience in the Internet/data communications industry to NTT America. In this role, Mr. Wheeler is responsible for all financial, engineering, operational and customer relationship activities for the business unit. Previously, Mr. Wheeler led the sales and business development organization for the Global IP Network Business Unit of NTT America, including direct sales, account management, indirect channel sales, sales engineering, marketing, product management, and business development activities. Mr. Wheeler was part of the original start up team with Verio in 1997, where he led several different sales organizations. He transitioned to a leadership role at NTT America following the acquisition of Verio by NTT America’s parent company, NTT Communications, in August of 2000.
